The people in those lands
On a recent trip to Pine Ridge, South Dakota, I saw the impact of the forgotten history of Native cultures. Just outside of the Badlands in South Dakota, Lakota people are living alongside these ecosystems. This photo was taken at a local house that serves as a restaurant for visitors. This tricycle seemed so out of place, but I realized that it was because the stories of the people who live next to these wind-scaped lands are never told even though they are the ones impacted the most.
