While walking the broken alleyways of Kandahar, Afghanistan, I came across a youth outside of his home mesmerized by my iPhone in hand. For Kandahari youth and adults alike, to see a woman walking around taking photos in public freely is a rare occurrence. It was a risk each time I'd snap a shot, but definitely worth it.
