In a lion's community, females play a significant role and take care of the hunting, protection of the pride and raising of the young - pretty much everything. This photo was captured during a rare encounter with a pride of 12 lions - 3 lionesses and 9 cubs. The adults stood guard whilst the younglings frolicked on the grassy planes. A tribute to all the females - our mothers, sisters and loved ones - you are the cornerstone in our lives.
