I shot this photo on a spur-of-the-moment vacation I took this year. I needed to get away from the usual stresses of life, so I decided to visit some friends in Oregon. First though, I researched good milky way locations since I was heading in on a new moon, booked a room nearby, and had a super relaxing evening at the lake and got this shot. I stumbled across a quite few other photographers there in the dark for the same thing, so it was a bit of a challenge to get a unique composition!
