On assignment in Sri Lanka I was testing the capabilities of a new lens. Here I saw an opportunity to see how it performed with a 2x teleconverter attached at widest aperture possible in that configuration. I love peacocks and enjoy trying to put my own spin on images. Morning light was pleasantly front lighting this bird. I had to use manual focus to ensure I could capture it in sharp focus just as his head popped into an opening while rendering the foreground to colour and minimal texture.
