I captured this beautiful moment on the North Rim of the Grand Canyon in the late afternoon of an August day. It was a tilt of the camera that created the sunbeams and shading of the tree, but the effect truly shows the serenity of the canyon. I reveled in the quietness of the North Rim as I was able to feel such a sense of peace in this place. I felt so small, yet so enveloped by this wondrous earth!
