It makes me very sad to look at this picture which appears to be a perfect picture of a loving family in which the elephant and the mahout have been bonded for life. What I see in the eyes of the elephant is not happiness but pain that one truly feels to be part of a loving family at the cost of lost freedom and the ever present GOAD and the CHAIN underwater that holds her where she is.
