Spider Eats Metalic Sweat Bee
In June there is an abundance of spiders of all varieties along the Monocacy Creek in eastern Pennsylvania. All are on the prowl gathering food as they race to maturity in order to assure they breed and reproduce before the cold of winter's return.
This spider feeds on one of the many sweat bees that work to pollenate local plants. Note the metallic sheen to its green carapace, one of their most distinguishing features.
