We went rambling through Audubon Park (Between Magazine Street and St. Charles Ave) one sunny afternoon in New Orleans. While there, we encountered plenty of wildlife at Bird Island within the Audubon Park Lagoon, including this Great White Egret. It was gracious enough to pose for me.
