Edit Photo Details Red Headed Woodpeckers-near threatened   #woodpecker
I was about to head home from my photo birding walk at our local wildlife refuge area. I was coming home "empty handed". Suddenly, I heard this strange bird call. I looked up and there it was; a red headed woodpecker. I just started taking continuous photos for a good minute before it flew away. I came home and my wife said "I see that big smile on your face...what did you see?"
