    Reported by:

From my canoe, I heard another boat slowly moving to my right. A fisherman stood on the bow peering downward into the dark water as he clutched his net. He was looking for a catch just on the outside of the mangroves which stretch all along the lagoon's shore. He motioned his friend to stop his slow paddle. Standing up straight, the fisherman's strong arms confidently swished the net in a backward-forward thrust and then he let it fly, forming a billow as it first touched the water.
