I'd noticed that some very beautiful cockatoos had perched on our balcony in the late afternoon! Their sound unmistakable! They were ever curious, looking around and often giving us a glance or two! I managed to get 1.5 metres away from them, and used my 70-200mm f/2.8 VR II lens to zoom right up to their faces and show in this photograph the detail in one of the birds feathers, its beak and eye and a I also managed to showcase the beautiful background as well, which is many trees!
