A pastoral scene in the Australian Outback. I took this picture inside Wilpena Pound in the Flinders Rangers region . It was 54C (129F) degrees that day, we only hiked 5 kms but the heat made them almost unbearable. Wilpena Pound is a natural amphitheatre of mountains with some endemic wildlife including the yellow-footed rock-wallaby. One of my favourite destinations in Australia.
