Boatyard. Aberdeen, Hong Kong
On a tour of Hong Kong island, the rest of the party went on an organised boat trip around the well-kept harbour at Aberdeen, which was full of the mega-yachts of the wealthy. I decided to stay on land, and headed down the path which ran past all those pristine and well-guarded vessels. At the end of the path there was a ramshackle hut beyond which lay an extraordinary jumble of machinery, tools, ropes, containers, etc., which, apparently, was the local boatyard.
