As our bus pulled into the small Wayuu village on the Colombian peninsula, the locals all came out to see. Many had never seen a bus. This little girl was dusty and dirty, but embodied the graciousness of these reclusive people. We were invited to sleep in the village, an honor this particular village had not given outsiders before.
