While travelling in Iceland in November 2016, we stopped at the black pebble beach in Vik around dusk. At that time, more impressive than the black pebble beach was the swirl of surreal clouds that caught the last rays of sunset. So much so, the fiery clouds drew my eyes away from the black pebble beach. And, at closer range, the photograph appears to be more like a bold broad stroked painting rather than a digital photograph.
