We were hiking in the French Pyrenees, enjoying the contrast between the warm weather and the snow-capped peaks. My brightest companion was Fantôme, a playful dog named after a dire wolf from Game of Thrones. She climbed vigorously and soon was waiting for us impatiently at the summit. Out of breath, I finally reached the peak, only to discover that the mountains became just a background for this gloriously amusing creature.
