The Wall
By the time we reached the Great Wall, the section was largely empty. What had been a pesky March rain flipped to snow as the clouds slowly swallowed and then vomited out segments of the wall. Partially obscured by the falling snow and the clouds that surrounded us the wall was eerily intimate. Then the snow lifted slightly and we turned to look back along the wall. That's when the sheer epic size became truly evident. In part due to the vibrantly colored rainbow umbrella that trudged into view.
