Edit Photo Details Walking "Dozer" in the hood.
I thought this critter was a stone sculpture. Watching pointedly from my car across the stree I finally saw the head move. The man nudged the tortoise out of the shade. Across the street they strolled. When Dozer, an African Spurred or Grass Tortoise got out of line the man nudged his carapace with his foot. A chat later I'd learned that Dozed is about 50 years old likes his walks and if life doesn't go right he throws a tantrum. He's a young adult.
