In the winter thousands of elephant seals return to the beaches of Año Nuevo, California to give birth and breed. The new pups are born into a world of chaos, with sea birds flying all around trying to scavenge the birthing grounds and large males constantly fighting to keep the beach as their own. The pups desperately try to stay close to their mothers in all of the chaos. The beach was an exciting scene filled with movement and sound, that truly captured the life of the Pacific.
