On the way to Delphi, my travel group stopped briefly in the small town of Nafpaktos for ice cream and a chance to stretch our legs. Just around the corner was this beautiful harbor leading out to the Gulf of Corinth. The statue in the distance is dedicated to Spanish author Miguel de Cervantes for his heroic service in the battle of Lepanto that took place here. This was simply a photo opportunity that could not be missed.
