Mosquito Lagoon is an inshore fishing destination for many fly fishermen and traditional fishermen looking to catch red drum and gator trout (speckled sea trout). In most areas of the lagoon these fish can found in six inches of water to 12 feet of water. In this particular image my friend is casting his fly in the direction of a red drum that is feeding in the shallow water sea grass.
