This was the start of our hike that day to go ski a coulior that was a little further back (strip of snow in the back right side of this photo). we had just seen it from the parking lot the day before. it was a really great day and the skiing was awesome. on the way back however it had gotten quite a bit warmer. it was now 3 in the afternoon and the chunks of ice we crossed in this photo were now floating. we made it but it was a little scarier on the way back.
