During a trip to Pelling, Sikkim, India, I took a walk up to the Pemayangtse monastery. It is a steep walk from Pelling through tall forest and an even steeper climb up to the monastery buildings which tower above the trees. The reward though is magnificent, the view of the 3rd, 4th, and 5th highest peaks in the Himalayas (and the altitude) takes your breath away.
