Old ornaments
This Old woman is wearing (G)old ornament called THANDATTI usualluy worn by women of the Southern Districts of India, these hollow earrings are usually suspended from distended earlobes. Often interpreted as three-dimensional 'mandala', the vertical axis of universe or as stylized version of Lord Shiva's snake earrings. This pair of ear pendants has been modified by adding a simple hook from which each can be suspended.
Gross Weight: 20.370 grams approximately.Memorable even after 100 yrs.
