Driving from Hue to Da Nang, just before ascending the Hai Van Pass we passed a village opening to a huge waterfront. To my glee I found rows of roadside temporary shops displaying various kinds of mussels, clams, and oysters. They make delicious dishes and a favorite for seafood lovers. With the climate change and global warming it needs to be seen what the future holds for these bivalves.
