Taken during the height of tourism season in Ottawa, ON; I was inspired by the fact that kids were playing on a statue of a man whose story is one of Canada's greatest and proudest. Terry Fox ran across Canada in 1980 to raise awareness for cancer research. Although he had to stop half way through and passed away in 1981, his bravery brought the citizens of the country together, and continues to inspire.
