I spotted the pride a mile away as distant moving specs, it was majestic watching these graceful beasts come closer and closer until they were just a few meters away, at their destination, the creek. Sadly, in this time of drought the bed was just dust and the king bowed his head to his young cubs in a way that was both sad and beautiful, the long hot walk across the Serengeti was all in vain, they will have to wait for the rain.
