The wood materials used in making the Hahoe masks are all alders, and the manufacturing period is estimated as the middle of Koryo Dynasty. Hahoe masks have been stored in the Hahoe village and have been appointed as a national treasure in 1964 and presently possessed by the National Central Museum.
