    Tropical weather churned unusually large waves for South Carolina so surfers flocked to the shore to enjoy them. Big crowds also like to watch the action. I love to see it unfold in a special place where nature puts on a show for the athletes and spectators.

    I can just hear this wave crashing down behind the surfer. I have never tried to photograph an event like this, but I am sure it has it's challenges. I love how much space you give the surfer here and we can use the wave as a great sense of scale. Great frame.
