Today was his first day of Kindergarten. I know he was nervous and excited but he hid it well. I wanted to take a picture to commemorate the big day. As I was getting setup for the shot I noticed out of the corner of my eye that he had drifted away in thought. He literally disappeared somewhere into the quiet of his mind. I called to him but he didn't hear me nor did he see me. He had gone quiet.
