    I don't remember why he was crying anymore. Just that he sat there quietly with those big tears rolling down his little cheeks. He didn't make a sound. I grabbed my phone, a Samsung Galaxy SII at the time, and snapped the photo. It is one of my favorite images, and one that made me really understand that it isn't the camera, but the artist behind the lens. Edits: Black and white, increased contrast, and blurred background. I wanted him to be the focus, the way he was the moment I took the photo.
