After a nice hike of 1000 ft vertical gain in the dark, I made it to the summit of Bear Butte in South Dakota, USA. The Sun had just started to rise, projecting fiery reds and oranges across the never-ending prairie and the leftovers of the storm from the night before. Being alone at the peak made the view all the more amazing. being able to photograph and enjoy the scenery undisturbed was a once in a lifetime experience.
