Going about our daily routines can be so hectic and fast-paced that sometimes slowing down and appreciating the scenery is hard to do. After a rainy day of volunteering, I was tired and anxious to get home. But as I was passing through the farmland that makes up a large portion of the small community I live in, I had to take a minute to enjoy the view. The times I slow down and really appreciate my surroundings are the moments I feel I have the best understanding of happiness.
