I was lucky to enjoy an amazing sunset along the Maryland Heights Trail in Harpers Ferry National Historic Park a couple of days ago. I arrived at Overlook Cliff as the sun began to set and the few remaining hikers began to head back down the trail. Remaining at the overlook until the sun dropped below the horizon was well worth the mile hike down the trail in the dark.
