Brumbies
Two of an estimated 7,000 wild horses believed to roam the Snowy Mountains plains of southern NSW, Australia, The horses, known as brumbies, are at the centre of controversy as the government has plans to reduce their number to protect the national park. Those fighting to stop the cull say the brumbies belong in the park, having long been part of Australian folklore. The horses believed to be descendants of the early cavalry, mixed with bushmen steeds.
