A baby hummingbird just left the nest and was practicing landing on the dog fence. It had done it many times and this time the dog was waiting. Funny thing is the bird landed and let the dog get very close. The dog stopped when it was within about 2-4 inches away. The bird and the dog looked at each other for well over 30 seconds until the bird decided to leave. It did come back many times over the next few days but then was gone.
