Almost 90 degrees on the first day of fall in Pennsylvania, and swimming in the Delaware river felt like summer never left. My son was showing off his floating skills that he's acquired this summer - and basking in the mid-day sun. The sun flares on the water were hypnotic, as was his joy. Floating free.
