Edit Photo Details Adult Tree Swallow
This adult tree swallow was perched here for a while, resting after a busy morning collecting bugs for the little ones. I assist in the banding process for the Tree Swallows, as well as the Eastern Blue Birds. We track them by their band numbers and sometimes they will come back to upstate New York to breed in the same box as previous years. The Swallows migrate from South America, so this is truly amazing to me.
