    Scenes like this make it easier to accept the fact that summer is officially behind us. Taken last week on the Crow Pass Trail, descending from the pass to Eagle River. In the background is Eagle Glacier, the source of Eagle River. We hiked 21 miles that day - up and over Crow Pass, forded Eagle River, and down the valley. I was packing light, so I had a medium telephoto (80-200mm), which worked perfectly for this scene.
