An old tradition in Chin State was to tatoo young girls' faces so they would not be kidnapped by rival tribes. This tradition still exists, but is fading. Most of the tattooed ladies are now in their 60's. Like most women in Myanmar, they enjoy their cigar after a hard day's labor... They can be found on the Lemro River.
