As I was setting up my tripod to capture the sunset reflection in Naknek Lake, I heard a rustling in the bushes behind me. within a few seconds the largest brown bear I have ever witnessed was standing a few yards from me, looking me straight in the eye. He proceeded to walk around me and out to the lake in front of the exact spot my camera had been set up to shoot. I can still vividly remember how fast my heart was beating when I snapped this shot. A moment in time I won't soon forget.
