I watched the opening ceremony of the San Fermin Festival from the safety of an apartment balcony. By the time the ceremony was over, the crowd had sprayed so much sangria all over each other that they were calling on the people in the apartments to "cleanse" them by raining water down on them. The child-like joy on their faces when they got drenched was priceless.
