Cold, hard rain started to fall from the sky, rippling with dark clouds. The wind began to pick up and sent the leaves coating the ground around me scurrying across the pavement. This bird found refuge on a crevice in the stone wall of the tall building beside me. His wings fluffed up against the coming storm, I almost didn't see him against the rough stone. Afterwards, I too took refuge as the rain started to come down in waves. Soon after, he was gone; searching for refuge elsewhere, no doubt.
