Fall along the Northern California coast is the best time of year. Little to no wind, clear skies, amazing light and not as many visitors. I can actually count the number of people on the beach here. I drive along this very coast as often as possible, and it is such an amazing sight from the air. San Francisco in the distance (just behind the hills)
