Young Himba princess
The Himba are, these days, a barely nomadic tribe, removed from their original way of life as a direct result of global warming and lack of rainfall in their traditional grounds in northern Namibia. These days, the men of the tribe are forced to venture away from the villages, sometimes for up to 2 weeks, to find land for their animals to graze on. This leaves the women to fend for themselves, grow the families and prepare the next generation of men. There is amazing strength in these women!
