Lady Liberty has been an inspiration to millions of immigrants who have aspired to come to America. She is the symbol of freedom, opportunity and hope. My parents came to America with all these hopes and dreams and they became American citizens and fulfilled their dreams for a better way of life for themselves and our family.

Fantastic Victor. I love how you composed this frame, and your decision to present this photo in black and white; it feels so timeless. Thanks for writing a thoughtful caption. I agree with Your Shot photographer Carol Worrell, who commented, "What a wonderful idea for the assignment! I think this is the perfect time in our history to reflect with she represents! We are all immigrants."
