As I was enjoying the peace and quiet before the school bus arrival, I noticed a praying mantis walking ever so slowly toward me. He took a tedious and careful 10 minutes to reach me. As he approached he slowly turned his head and we locked eyes. He carefully raised he two front legs together and began to pray for me. He stood frozen in his prayer for a good four to five minutes. I sat there mesmerized. I thanked him and he continued on his journey. Once in a lifetime experience.
