As the flight was entering Leh Kushok Bakula Rinpoche Defence Airport, the surreal Himalayas started to greet me. I had had so far a number of flight experiences but this was completely unimaginable. The hills looked so near that it seemed they would just touch the airplane. I seriously felt like soaring above the mountains like a predator bird like Hawk or Eagle. It was my first trip to the Himalayas and the first welcome was a lifetime experience. One should definitely have it once in life!
