As a kid my mom was told that red clover was a highway strawberry. She thought that it was a type of fruit that grew next to the highways. Later in life she got closer to them and realized it is just a flower shaped like a strawberry. As a kid she always told me this story and so when I drive down the highway and see them I smile and think of her.
